Best Vegan Frozen Dessert Recipes

Vegan Frozen Cheesecake

Vegan Frozen Cheesecake

This mouth-watering, ultra-indulgent dessert boasts a deserved five stars! This creation is basically, “Cheesecake, meet ice cream bars and Oreos!” An Oreo crumb base, bittersweet dark chocolate cheesecake layer, and toasted coconut cheesecake layer, all dunked in dark chocolate! Simply blitz up the Oreos in a food processor with melted vegan butter. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then, melt the chocolate and coconut oil, blend, and pour onto the Oreo base. Freeze for an hour.

Brown the coconut butter (not coconut oil or cocoa butter). Then, freeze your tray, cut triangular slices, and get your chocolate shell ready. Simply melt together the chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler and transfer them into a long, thin glass. Adding coconut oil makes the chocolate runnier and much easier to dip. Then, insert a skewer into each cheesecake slice and dunk away! Place them on parchment paper and keep them in the freezer. Find the recipe on School Night Vegan.

Australian Frozen Mango and Coconut Ice Cream Bars

Known as the Weiss bar, this popular frozen treat consists of a thick layer of frozen mango ice cream atop a thinner layer of frozen coconut. This recipe uses raw cashews, canned coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and lots of frozen mango chunks. (Costco is a great place to find big bags of frozen mangos!) Find the recipe on Rainbow Nourishments.

When you pair two already perfect creations together – chocolate chip cookies and vegan vanilla ice cream – what do you get but utter perfection?! Vary this recipe to suit your tastes with oatmeal cookies, tahini cookies, or chocolate oatmeal cookies and ice cream flavors like chocolate, cashew, almond butter, or coconut. Find this recipe on Beaming Baker.

Vegan Mango Mousse with Coconut Cool Whip

While this recipe from Vidhya’s Home Cooking is stellar, the coconut milk cream can be a little tricky to make. For a simple hack to create an equally delicious and healthier dessert, simply thaw frozen mango chunks (Costco sells affordable bags of frozen mango chunks) and blend them into a puree in a high-speed blender.

Pour on top of SoDelicious Coconut Cool Whip (which you can find at Publix) and top with crushed pistachios and fresh mint leaves. This combination of refreshing and sweet flavors pairs perfectly with just the right amount of crunch. A light and airy dessert perfect for summer.

Tahini Banana Soft Serve

Savory, sweet, chocolatey, and nutty. All you need is overripe, sliced, frozen bananas; tahini; cocoa powder; maple syrup, pitted dates, vanilla extract; sea salt, and Magic Shell (optional topping). Simply blend ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender until it reaches a creamy “soft serve” consistency. Find the recipe on Minimalist Baker.

This easy homemade vegan froyo uses only five ingredients. Simply blend unsweetened plant-based yogurt, frozen blueberries, maple syrup, vanilla extra, salt, and non-dairy milk. For aesthetic appeal, you can transfer it to a piping bag, and pipe swirls into a cup or cone.

To make it festive and fun, top it off with vegan sprinkles, chocolate drizzle, vegan marshmallows, cherries, and/or chocolate chips.  Find the recipe here.
