We are a growing community of citizens who care about animals (and the environment) enough to put their welfare before our palates. Being vegan isn't just about the food we eat - it's about adhering to a compassionate lifestyle that goes beyond what's on our plates - to the clothes on our backs, the products in our pantries, and even the tires on our vehicles.
The Vegan Critic is not affiliated with any company, entity or product and our reviews are fair and impartial.

I had an epiphany during my senior year in high school while I was devouring a White Castle "murder burger". I love animals more than I love anything, so how in good conscience could I continue to eat them? And a vegetarian was born. Later, I learned about what goes on behind the blood-stained walls of the diabolical dairy industry where countless animals are tortured in the most barbaric ways for their milk and eggs, while others are slaughtered for their flesh, skin and fur, so I gave up all animal-derived foods, products and apparel ... and a vegan was born.
I’ve taste-tested countless vegan recipes, evaluated virtually every cruelty-free beauty product on the market, and sized-up just about everything else on the vegan spectrum. I'm always on the lookout for the latest vegan food, fashion and fun. I sampled the first veggie-burger - which was awful and lived to see a beefless burger to die for, one that meat-eaters can't tell isn’t meat. I remember the days when there were only a handful of vegan items, and now there are a plethora of products to meet the demands of the ever-growing vegan community, and hallelujah for that! Non-vegans can no longer quip about bland and boring vegan food, and there's just no excuse not to be vegan!
So, what makes me a critic? Everyone's a critic, and taste is subjective. But the way to think of a critic is one who is deeply familiar with that which he or she is critiquing, either through formal studies, years of experience or vast organic knowledge, of which I possess all of the above. Criticism should not lie in judgment but rather in receptivity and response. I don’t flex my opinion to badmouth with bias, but rather to voice my impression and ring in the good or root out the rubbish for you.
