Stella McCartney Launches STELLA

Stella McCartney Vegan Skincare

A new vegan and cruelty-free skincare collection from Stella McCartney has been launched. It offers pure, toxic-free cosmetic products with a chic twist.

The STELLA line is marketed as an eco-friendly, basic approach to excellent skin care.

It was introduced in conjunction with luxury goods giant LVMH Mot Hennessy Louis Vuitton (known simply as LVMH). There are only three items in the entire product line: a cleanser, a daily-use serum, and a moisturizing cream, each of which ranges in price from $45 to $140.

“I want less, and I want it to work,” McCartney stated.

“I want it to be honest and to complement my way of thinking, and of living life. Obviously I wanted to do the cleanest skincare that we could do in luxury, the purest of the pure.”

The Vegan Society and the Cruelty-Free International Leaping Bunny Programme have both certified the entire line.

The STELLA  impact

McCartney says that she spent two years developing her three products. The longer development period has been attributed to the designer’s tenacious pursuit of packaging and ingredients with little environmental impact.

According to the brand, it was able to omit close to 2,000 components that are frequently utilized. This was brought on by pollutants linked to their manufacturing or extraction. The end result is a line created with at least 99 percent natural ingredients, all of which were chosen after being subjected to an examination by environmental sustainability firm Quantis.

Products are delivered in reusable and recycled glass containers with recycled plastic pumping systems. The company sells refills in environmentally friendly biodegradable pouches manufactured from wood waste.

McCartney chose shipping over air freight in an effort to further reduce the carbon footprint of the range. This made it possible to reduce the overall impact by one third.

“At every stage, I have challenged myself to make the most responsible decisions, that ranges from the mode of transportation (maximizing sea-freight over air-freight) to banning single-use products through the innovative refill system we implemented,” McCartney told Glamour Magazine.

The growth of celebrity vegan beauty

McCartney joins a long list of famous people who have entered the lucrative vegan beauty market, which is anticipated to reach $21.4 billion by 2027.

Cosmoss, the premium line owned by Kate Moss, recently made its debut. It includes a variety of self-care products, notably tea bags and perfume. The new company markets its goods as being vegan and free of animal testing.

In collaboration with Ulta, Ariana Grande introduced her God is a Woman beauty collection last month. The line follows Grande’s several perfume launches and the launch of an animal rescue facility in 2019. Grande has been vegan for more than ten years.

Stella McCartney Beauty now has the STELLA line for sale.
