How To Incorporate Animal Activism Into Your Daily Life

Animal Activism in daily life

Animal activism can seem difficult to incorporate into your daily life. Oftentimes, when people think of animal activism, they tend to think of volunteering somewhere like an animal rescue or sanctuary. But animal activism can be present in our daily lives!

Animal activism can seem difficult to incorporate into your daily life. Oftentimes, when people think of animal activism, they tend to think of volunteering somewhere like an animal rescue or sanctuary. But animal activism can be present in our daily lives!

Here are a few ways that you can incorporate animal activism into your day-to-day lifestyle!

Wear Animal-Free Clothing

Ditch your real leather for faux leather! Wearing clothing that is

animal-free is a great way to advocate for animals in your daily life. By

avoiding purchasing or wearing items made with animal products, you are making a stand for what you believe in! Leather, wool, cashmere, and other clothing items produced using animal by-products are cruel.

Wearing completely animal-free clothing on the daily can make a strong statement against these industries.

Some amazing animal-free clothing options include The Funky Peacock Store, which is a woman-owned online boutique with fun vegan apparel and an eco-friendly makeup line. There’s also Vegan Power Co, which donates monthly to Animal Sanctuaries and offers retro-inspired vegan flair and apparel from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and y2k eras. You can also try VGN RBT, which sells t-shirts, women’s tees, hoodies, hats, mugs, stickers, jewelry, and more, with 10% of the profit going to vegan charities.

Shop Animal-Free

When shopping, make a conscious effort to avoid brands that test on animals. This is a great way to show activism within day-to-day life. When picking out cleaning products, beauty products, and more, avoid any brands that test on animals. Animal testing is a cruel process that is outdated and unnecessary. By not supporting the brands that test on animals and actively avoiding them, you are incorporating animal activism into your daily life.

You can shop animal-free at AVEGAN Beauty, which is a premium, plant-based skincare, and beauty supplements brand, and Oh My Heavenly Hair Inc, which is a holistic hair and beauty oasis founded by celebrity stylist and natural hair care pioneer Debra Hare-Bey.

There is also The Pink Pigs Boutique for Animal Lovers, which is a fun boutique that offers jewelry from fine to fashion, vegan and animal-themed gifts of all kinds, cozy animal-themed clothing, vegan handbags, shoes, and more! All proceeds from this amazing boutique are donated to Rooterville Animal Sanctuary. You can also check out DZOLIK Vegan Leather, which offers vegan leather made of cork that is durable, plant-based, eco-friendly, water resistant, extremely light, hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and a great-looking alternative to leather.

Post on Social Media

Posting about animal activism is a great way to get involved. Resharing posts about animal rights is a fast and easy way to share your activism with the world. Whether you are resharing a post on your Instagram story, posting a photo of your plant-based breakfast, or making a funny TikTok, social media is a great place to advocate for animals. You are able to reach a variety of people almost within an instant. Vocalizing your support for animals and showing your plant-based lifestyle online can inspire those within your personal life, as well as people that you’ve never even met! Support Local Vegan Businesses

Showing your support for a local vegan business is a great way to incorporate activism into your day. Supporting a local vegan business shows that there is a demand for more places in the area that cater to a plant-based, animal-free lifestyle. Oftentimes, these establishments even have ways for you to donate proceeds directly to animal rights. Choosing to support a local vegan business instead of a corporation is a big statement that has a positive impact!
