To “Turn Up” The Holidays, Cardi B Just Launched Vodka-Infused Dairy-Free Whipped Cream

Cardi B recently released Whipshots, a groundbreaking vodka-infused, dairy-free whipped cream. Cardi B collaborated with Starco Brands, a packaged goods innovator, to create the shelf-stable whipped cream. Whipshots were first available on the corporate website in three flavors: Vanilla, Caramel, and Mocha, as well as three sizes (50, 200, and 375ml bottles) with a staggering 10% alcohol by volume (ABV).

“I’m so excited to join Starco Brands with this incredible opportunity…Whipshots matches my style—over the top, sexy, unique. Together we’re completely innovating whipped cream and giving it an extra pop. Whipshots is Cardi in a can,” Cardi B stated. A cultural celebrity and new mom, Cardi B also contributed many cocktail recipes and usage recommendations on the company’s website—”parents, keep one in the bedroom,” she suggested in a promotional video.

The first batch of 500 Whipshot bottles sold out in about an hour. Every day in December, there will be a new release.

Is She Vegan?

While she has not stated whether or not she is vegan, she does enjoy plant-based food. Cardi B and her husband Offset’s band, Migos, ordered vegan meals from Food Art by Lauren during the 2018 Coachella music festival. The caterer was providing Cornbread Chik-un and Waffles with White Sweet Potato Purée, Coconut Braised Greens, and a Blue Majik Mango Butter to Beyoncé’s entourage.

Cardi B took to Instagram a few months after her vegan dinner at Coachella to formally sample vegan food “for the first time” in front of her then-26 million followers. The rapper said that she was pondering a dietary overhaul to boost her health during her first pregnancy while trying take-out items such as a burrito, tacos, pancakes, and a grain bowl, saying, “Gotta eat a little bit more healthy.”

Cardi B delved into vegan fashion with her second collaboration with Fashion Nova in 2019, in addition to eating plant-based foods. The collection was influenced by the fashion of the 1980s and 1990s, and included corsets, latex, and a lot of vegan leather, including pants, jackets, and belts.

She also went plant-based during the COVID-19 outbreak, donating 20,000 bottles of OWYN vegan meal replacements to support NYC hospital and ambulance employees who worked around the clock to care for sick patients.
