Yoga/Meditation Open House with Veg*n Lunch – Manhattan #Chelsea

**Yoga Open House is FREE and OPEN to all – No previous experience required. Session includes Introductory Yoga class, meditation and Veg*n food. Please arrive 10-15 mins early to complete registration at the venue.**
Yoga is a journey towards self-realization and transcendence – Nurturing a sense of unity, mindfulness, and purpose. Join us as at Yoga Open House @ Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center – Tucked away in a traditional NYC brownstone on West 24th Street, the center has been serving the city’s Yoga community since 1964. Run by a volunteer staff and dedicated to the aim of sharing the knowledge of Yoga with all who come, the center offers not only drop-in classes for all levels but also various workshops and courses on everything from beginner Yoga to Yogic philosophy, along with many others.
Unlike many other new-age NYC yoga studios that focus primarily on physical fitness and trendy practices, Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center offers a distinctive experience rooted in Spiritual Depth. They provide authentic and comprehensive yoga experience, offering a space where you can connect with your inner self and find true balance amidst the noise of modern life.
Basic Schedule is as follows:
10:30am onwards –
– Yoga Demonstration and Introduction to what they teach
– Beginner Yoga Class
– Meditation Class
– Open discussion
1:00 – 2:00 pm : Veg*n meal for all.
***Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early before start time to register. You need to be registered in order to participate in the program.***
***What to bring to Yoga Open House:***
Wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing suitable for yoga practice.
Bring a yoga mat or towel (to place over mats provided). Rentals available.
**FOR OUR NEW MEMBERS:** this is an incredibly friendly and welcoming group. We are a FUN group. Join us as we explore Yoga Open House in Chelsea, with fellow vegetarians and vegans.
Event is FREE and OPEN to all registrants – The venue takes major credit cards if you wish to purchase anything else on your own.
**HOW TO FIND US:** **Please tell volunteer staff members (at the Front desk) that you are with NYC Vegan Meetup group** – They will connect us. **Please arrive 10-15 mins early to complete registration at the venue.**
**TRAIN DIRECTIONS:** Take C or E train to 23rd St. Subway Station – 2 min/ 449 ft to the venue.
