Please join the Veg Society of DC Book Club discussion of Isabel Wilkerson’s *Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents*.

Wilkerson examines the unspoken caste system — a rigid hierarchy of human rankings — that has shaped America. Linking the caste systems of America, India, and Nazi Germany, she explores eight pillars that underlie caste systems across civilizations.

To participate you must read at least half the book—and RSVP at least two days before the meeting.

The VSDC Book Club began meeting online in March 2020 (previously we met in vegetarian restaurants in DC or nearby Maryland or Virginia). People who RSVP yes will get the details to join the discussion (the weekend before the meeting). The details will not be posted on meetup.
