Welcome springtime, at our March 20th Veg Night Out with fellow veg’ns at Mr. Purple, the trendy Lower East Side rooftop bar at Hotel Indigo. It will be a perfect location for us to chill and enjoy the evening.

**The New Yorker** says of Mr. Purple: “The interior, meant to evoke an artist’s loft, leads to two outdoor patios, with chaise lounges, purple chairs, staggeringly gorgeous views, and a swimming pool.”

**The New York Times** writes, “The elevator opens to a dark, spacious room illuminated by filament bulbs and squiggles of neon. The high ceiling has exposed pipes resembling a box of bucatini, framed by a wooden exoskeleton. Below, banquettes and ottomans are flanked by shelves of plants, candles and a woven dreamcatcher-y tangle. Two roof decks offer wonderful views of the city …”

According to **Timeout NY**, Mr. Purple is “a 15th-floor bar that crowns the Hotel Indigo and takes its name from the late guerrilla-gardening icon Adam Purple. Detractors claim that Purple—a modern-day hippie who dedicated years to fighting urban decay—would have scoffed at such an appropriation of his name, while the owners defend the choice as being in-line with their commitment to the nabe.”

With all the wonderful vegetarians and vegans who attend each of our events, every event we do is liked by our members, but our “Veg Night Out!” events are the most popular of all. People enjoy the fact they can mingle (speak with lots of different people), and they love the beautiful venues that we go to. Join us for a stellar evening of lively conversation and lovely surroundings with fellow vegetarians and vegans.

There is no cover and no minimum. But please do buy a drink or two, or as many as you like.

Our event officially runs from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. There’s a good chance we may stay past 9:00pm.

**Where to meet:** Go to the rooftop bar, Mr. Purple, on the 15th floor. We will be outside on the terrace. Look for our large group.
