Meditation Immersion @ Sivananda Yoga Center – Manhattan #Chelsea

**Meditation Event is OPEN to all. In addition to Meetup RSVP, you are required to Register [HERE](https://sivanandanyc.org/program-calendar/?mobile=false&options%5Bids%5D=4468&options%5Bsite_id%5D=452403&version=0) to participate in the program.** **90 mins** **session includes What/Why/How to meditate with techniques of meditation according to the four Classical Paths of Yoga – followed by a simple vegan meal. Please arrive at least 10-15 mins early to complete registration at the venue.**

Maintaining a meditation practice can feel overwhelming, even when you know how it makes you feel after practice and the benefits it gives. Whether you are brand new to meditation or want to refresh your practice, this retreat gives you the theory that can inspire a strong meditation routine – Join us!

Event will be hosted at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center – Tucked away in a traditional NYC brownstone on West 24th Street, the center has been serving the city’s Yoga community since 1964. Unlike many other new-age NYC yoga studios that focus primarily on physical fitness and trendy practices, Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center offers a distinctive experience rooted in Spiritual Depth. They provide authentic and comprehensive yoga experience, offering a space where you can connect with your inner self and find true balance amidst the noise of modern life.

***What to bring to event:***
– Wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing suitable for meditation practice.
– Bring a yoga mat or towel (to place over mats provided). Rentals available.

**FOR OUR NEW MEMBERS:** this is an incredibly friendly and welcoming group. We are a FUN group. Join us as we participate in meditation event, with fellow vegetarians and vegans.

Event is OPEN to all registrants – The venue takes major credit cards if you wish to purchase anything else on your own.

**HOW TO FIND US:** Please tell volunteer staff members (at the Front desk) that you are with NYC Vegan Meetup group – They will connect us.

**Please arrive 10-15 mins early to complete registration at the venue.**

**TRAIN DIRECTIONS:** Take C or E train to 23rd St. Subway Station – 2 min/ 449 ft to the venue.
