As the sun sets over New York City, South Street Seaport transforms into a captivating destination for Friday night exploration. The historic cobblestone streets are alive with street performers and the glow of twinkling lights from charming buildings. Take a stroll along the waterfront promenade to admire the glistening waters of the East River and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge in the distance. Indulge in delectable veg*n treats from food vendors or immerse yourself in maritime history at the South Street Seaport Museum. Join us as we explore this neighborhood!
We plan to buy takeout food at **Beatnic Vegan Restaurant (181 Front St, New York)**, or alternatively at **TAGMO (226 Front St, New York)**. We would also stop by **Van Leeuwen Ice Cream (224 Front St, New York)** prior walking over to river front area. Feel free to bring your choice of food/drink as you wish.
**FOR OUR NEW MEMBERS:** this is an incredibly friendly and welcoming group. We are a FUN group. Join us for a stellar summer evening of walking in the South Street Seaport neighborhood with lively conversations, with fellow vegetarians and vegans.
At Veg*n vendors – Everyone pays for themselves and they take major credit cards. Easy!
**WHERE WE WILL MEET**: We will meet at **6:30pm** in front of **Beatnic, 181 Front Street** (bet. John St. & Fulton St.).
**TRAIN DIRECTIONS:** For Beatnic (181 Front St.) – Take 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, A, C, train to Fulton Street Subway Station – 5 Min/ 0.3 mile to the venue.
