Mission of the C.A.R.E. Foundation
The CARE Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3, Exotic Animal Rescue and Wildlife Education Facility located in Apopka, Florida. We provide permanent homes to over 200 animals including big cats, bears, monkeys, birds, crocodilians, various reptiles and assorted wildlife. The CARE Foundation was established to (a) provide non-domestic, non-releasable animals with a safe and permanent home, and (b) to educate the public on conservation and current environmental issues concerning endangered and threatened species, as well as local wildlife and their habitat.

Exotic Animal Rescue Center

1. Animal Safety: providing a safe and permanent home for non-domestic, non-releasable animals.
2. Hands-on Learning: providing a hands-on learning environment for those interested in careers in animal care.
3. Resource Center: providing a resource center aiding those already faced with issues concerning captive wildlife.
4. Networking: networking with other like-minded wildlife facilities to help place and care for exotic animals in need of a home.
5. Rescues & Confiscations: we work closely with Florida Fish and Wildlife, USDA, and Orange County Animal Services to rescue and place non-releasable, nuisance, or illegally obtained animals.
6. Disaster Relief: when needed, aids Florida Fish and Wildlife and local Animal Control Agencies with Amnesty Programs, Confiscations, Relocations, and Emergency or Disaster Relief.

Wildlife Educational Facility

1. Private Guided Tours: our tours offer visitors individual history and care information about our animals and how they came to be permanent residents at our facility.
2. Educational Wildlife Programs: providing programs for school children, civic groups, boys and girls clubs, tour groups and family functions/events.
3. Community & Corporate Educational Presentations: providing educational displays/presentations for corporate events, conventions, tradeshows, and community events.
4. Community Wildlife Resource: serving as a resource to members of the community with questions or concerns about wildlife in their area, or those looking for more information about animals they currently possess.
5. Public Education: educating the public on current and proposed regulations concerning the care of captive wildlife. Also, educating the public about current conservation and environmental issues from habitat loss and climate changes to specific issues concerning endangered and threatened species.

We are an exotic animal rescue dedicated to providing permanent homes for primarily non-native species. Unfortunately, we are not licensed to take in or care for orphaned or injured Florida wildlife.
