Myq Kaplan Comedy Show with Vegan Dinner Afterwards

This is a live filming of **MYQ Kaplan’s** new one-hour standup comedy special, “Before We Get Started”! The venue is **The Actors’ Temple Theatre,** 339 West 47th Street New York, NY 10036.

Because seating is general admission, Myq has offered to kindly section off seats for the 6:30 pm show for our meetup group. We will coordinate that for the 1st 20 (TBD) people to RSVP here on meetup.

**About the show:**
Myq Kaplan (who is a long-time vegan) has been a comedian for 20 years, a human for 44, and a philosophy guy for WHAT EVEN IS TIME?! In “Before We Get Started,” Kaplan offers advice to his past self on subjects ranging from traditional marriage to polyamory, quantum mechanics to psychedelics, Moby Dick to Nintendo, reflecting on potential improvements as a man, a partner, and matter/energy comprising an infinitesimal portion of the universe.

EdFringeReview called the show “an hour of hilarious comedy” and offers that “Kaplan’s matter-of-fact perspective on love is refreshing in its clarity… Kaplan layers his jokes like an abstract artwork. He slowly builds his set, adding jokes and funny insights until he steps back to reveal a massive comedy crescendo ready to crash down on the audience at any moment.”

**Train Directions:** Take the **C or E train to 50th St. or the 1 or 2 train to 50th St.** and walk south and west to the Actor’s Temple on 47th St between 8th and 9th Avenues.

**Dinner Afterwards:** For those who want to join us to eat afterwards (vegan food of course!), the group will walk a block to iPizza NY (658 9th Ave), at the SE corner of 46th St. and 9th Ave. iPizza (not an all-vegan place) sells 3 types of vegan pizza by the slice, 5 Italian vegan entrees, 3 vegan sandwiches, a vegan calzone made to order, and more. We have told them to expect a group of us so they will be ready. We expect to be there around 8 pm.

**Where to meet the group: We will meet in front of the venue at 6:15pm and go in together as a group at 6:25 pm sharp. Of course, you must have already purchased your ticket online, at the link above. Don’t be late!**
