DESCRIPTION:Recently I had the pleasure of a sightseeing and culinary adventure in **Morocco**’s ancient and modern cities at the edge of the Sahara desert. **I’d be delighted if you could join the NYC Vegetarian and Vegan group to enjoy the distinctly flavorful Moroccan food at Zerza restaurant.** \n**This will also be a trip to explore the vegetarian & vegan options in the beautiful Essex Market building**\, such as **Mille Nonne\, Chomps-Élysées\, and Puebla.** And also\, the exquisite all-vegan **Rebel Cheese (formerly Riverdel)**. Likely\, I am thinking\, most of us will order from Zerza. But please feel free to order from multiple vendors and whichever vendors you please. \n**Food**: At Zerza\, you can try their variety of starters\, such as **Zaalouk\, Falafel Salad\, Roasted Cauliflower**\, or indulge in a traditional entree such as **Couscous** and **Falafel Sandwich**. The most notable dish is the **Moroccan Tagine** with hearty vegetables in an aromatic savory sauce! Tagine is not only the name of the food but also the beautiful cookware which is designed to minimize water usage. **PLEASE NOTE: Zerza is NOT all-vegetarian\, so please confirm that your food matches your diet at the time of ordering.** \nService: The staff are very accommodating to vegan/vegetarian dietary preferences. Food is served quickly. \n**Everyone pays for themselves; cash & major credit cards accepted.** \n**FOR OUR NEW MEMBERS** – We are an incredibly friendly\, FUN\, and welcoming group!
