SUMMARY:VSDC Vegan Sketchers Visit to the U.S. National Arboretum
DESCRIPTION:Come sketch with us at the U.S. National Arboretum! We’ll spend the first hour and a half walking through some of the gardens\, gathering inspiration. Then we’ll head over to the National Capitol Columns grounds to find a shady spot to sit and sketch what we’ve seen. \nYou’ll need to bring your own art materials such as a sketchbook\, pencil(s)\, pen(s)\, small watercolor set\, brushes\, water\, etc. Sadly\, there are very few picnic tables positioned in the shade in the Arboretum\, so bring a packable camp chair and/or a blanket. Whatever will make you most comfortable sitting for the remainder of the event. Also\, feel free to bring a picnic lunch as there are no food concessions in the park. \nAll skill levels are encouraged to attend\, whether you’re a sketching newbie or a seasoned artist. I guarantee we all have something to learn from each other! \nDogs are welcome at the US Arboretum\, but are required to be leashed at all times. \nBathroom Facilities/Water: Restroom facilities and a water fountain are available at the R Street entrance. \nWeather: This event will be canceled if rain or strong winds are forecast. \n*** \n**Update Your RSVP** \nPlease update your RSVP promptly as your schedule changes. \n**VSDC: More Than A Meetup** \nWe are so glad to have you as part of The Veg Society of DC Vegan Meetup group\, and we enjoy seeing you at our events.
