SUMMARY:Planet Bethesda - (all-vegan) Food\, Fun\, and Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:*Update 6/3/2023: we have a large number of RSVPs which is spectacular! For those who want to meet-up at 1 pm\, and depending on who shows up\, let’s plan to meet in the grassy area between Fish Feel (14) and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue (22). I (and other VSDC volunteers) will be wearing a green VSDC t-shirt. We can all meet-up and see what can work best for the size of the group – at least a chance for everyone to say hello and then decide what to do next.* \nJoin VSDC and a number of other groups for the 2nd Annual Planet Bethesda Food\, Fun\, and Music Festival – an all-vegan event. The event takes place on Sunday\, June 4th\, from 12 noon to 6 pm at the Elm Street Urban Park in Bethesda MD. This will be an outdoor event with an estimated crowd over 3\,000 people. \n**Event highlights:** \n* Free tote bag jammed with goodies to the 1st 1500 attendees\n* More than 30 DMV restaurants and eateries\n* Green energy companies\n* Clothing retailers\n* Eco-smart merchandise retailers\n* Cruelty-free personal care brands \nWhether you’re attending for the vegan food\, the Kids’ Korner activities\, the Cocktail and Bier Garten\, the speakers\, the much loved Canine Courtyard\, or to just meet with family and friends\, Elm Street Park will once again come alive with energy as the DMV’s own DJ Soul spins the hottest music and keeps the energy going. \n*****For those who want to meet other VSDC and meetup members at 1 pm\, see Update above and in the Comments below.***** \nThe event will be held rain or shine. The venue is Elm Street Park\, just a two minute walk from the Bethesda Metro Station. \nEntry to Planet Bethesda and all activities are free to the public. Leashed dogs are welcome.
