You can bring your food or get some at Bareburger (Vernon Blvd) – Buying food/eating at this establishment is at your discretion. They do serve meat\, so be careful while ordering food (and of course\, no meat eating at our vegan meetup); they have a ton of vegan options — this restaurant is very vegan-friendly. Stay Hydrated!** \nNew York City has some fantastic riverfront parks that offer spectacular skyline views. Many of these parks are underrated and not known to many New Yorkers – Come join us as we’ll take a beautiful summer evening stroll by Hunter’s Point South park. \n**Hunter’s Point State Park is a relatively new park in Queens on the East River and features amazing views of Midtown and a green oval for sports and lounging\, picnic tables and Coffeed\, a local coffee and snack bar.** It’s easily accessible via the East River Ferry\, which docks at LIC Landing for trips to Midtown\, Williamsburg\, Lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. \nWe plan to buy takeout food at Bareburger (Vernon Blvd) prior to going on the park tour\, feel free to bring your choice of food/drink as you wish. \n**FOR OUR NEW MEMBERS:** this is an incredibly friendly and welcoming group. We are a FUN group. Join us for a stellar summer evening of walking in the Long Island City neighborhood with lively conversations\, with fellow vegetarians and vegans. \nAt Bareburger (Vernon Blvd) – Everyone pays for themselves and they take major credit cards. Easy! \n**TRAIN DIRECTIONS:** For Bareburger (Vernon Blvd) – Take 7 train to Vernon Blvd – Jackson Av Station – 2 Min/ 0.1 mile\, or G Train to 21st Ave Station – 6 min/ 0.3 mile to the venue. \nWe would love to have you join our tour!
