SUMMARY:VSDC Veg Singles Salsa Night
DESCRIPTION:Come dancing with fellow veg singles! \nWe will meet on the lawn of Georgetown Waterfront Park\, between 33rd Street and Potomac Street\, in NW DC. If you need an address to put in your GPS\, use 3300 Water Street NW. Look for Kathryn in a green VSDC t-shirt. \nPlease arrive at 4:30 so we can all introduce ourselves and get to know who is in our group for the night. This will help later when we are mixed in with the general public at the salsa social – you will be able to recognize who the veg singles are and will know exactly who you want to ask to dance! \nAt 5:00 we will join Dancing on the Waterfront\, a free public event. You can learn more about Dancing on the Waterfront on their [Facebook page.](https://www.facebook.com/Waterfrontd) They start off with a free beginner salsa and bachata lesson\, so you do not need to have any dance experience to join this event! After the lesson\, the DJ plays salsa and bachata music and you are free to dance and chat the night away! \nThe social dance goes until 8:30pm\, but as people get hungry we can head in small groups to Chaia for tacos. It’s a five minute walk from the dance location. Chaia is all vegetarian and has a lot of vegan options. We ask that you please order vegan food as part of any VSDC event. Everyone will pay for their own food directly\, so bring your own payment method. \nI recommended bringing water and wearing comfortable shoes. \nIf It is raining check the comments for an update\, but I believe Dancing on the Waterfront takes place at Pinstripes bowling alley when it rains\, so this event should still happen. \n**About the Veg Singles Group**\nThis group is for vegan and vegan-aspiring adults who do not currently have a romantic partner. People of any sexual orientation may join as long as they are single. Anyone 21 or older is welcome. You do not need to be looking to date\, you can just come socialize with other singles! \n**Update Your RSVP**\nPlease update your RSVP if you can no longer make it. \n**Transportation**\nThe nearest Metro station is Foggy Bottom\, which is a 20 minute walk away. There are several buses that go much closer.
