SUMMARY:VSDC Veg Singles Painting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:**RSVPs close March 16! Reserve your spot today!** \nRight Place Studio is hosting a private watercolors workshop for VSDC’s singles group! We will be painting the cherry blossoms shown in the image above. All participants will receive an outline of the flowers and the supplies you need to fill in the painting. Samantha from Right Place Studio will guide the group on how to use the watercolors to make the painting look amazing! There will also be lots of time while we are painting to chat with other attendees – think of it like a paint and sip event. \nAll paints and brushes will be vegan. \nUPSIDE on Moore has graciously reserved a private room for our group. UPSIDE is a food hall with vegan options\, so you can grab food or drinks before\, during\, or after the workshop. **Our room reservation begins at 6pm\, and the painting workshop will start at 6:30pm**. That means you have a half hour buffer to get to UPSIDE\, find the group\, grab some food\, and get to know other attendees before the painting starts! \nSamantha needs a headcount by March 17 to be able to prepare the materials for the class. **Thus\, the last day that you can RSVP (or cancel your RSVP) will be March 16.** The event is capped at 30 people so we will all fit in the same room. \n**As a VSDC singles event\, this event is for vegan and vegan-aspiring adults who do not currently have a romantic partner.** People of any sexual orientation may join as long as they are single. Anyone 21 or older is welcome. You do not need to be looking to date; you can just come socialize with other singles. \n**Transportation**\nThe nearest Metro station is Rosslyn on the Blue\, Orange\, and Silver lines. There is also a parking garage at the venue. \n**VSDC: More Than A Meetup**\nWe are so glad to have you as part of The Veg Society of DC Vegan Meetup group\, and we enjoy seeing you at our events. Did you know that [VSDC](https://vsdc.org/) is a nonprofit organization with membership benefits?\nWith VSDC membership\, you will save money at area restaurants and businesses\, attend VSDC member-only events\, and\, most importantly\, support us as a clear and consistent voice for improving the lives of all beings through community building and education centered on the benefits of a vegan diet and lifestyle.\nThe VSDC membership fee is minimal\, but the impact is significant! [Become a member of VSDC](https://vsdc.org/membership/). \n**Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct**\nWhen you sign up to attend\, you automatically acknowledge [VSDC’s Liability Waiver](https://vsdc.org/activity-waiver/) and commit to follow the code of conduct found at [Policies – VSDC – Veg Society of DC](https://vsdc.org/policies/).

SUMMARY:VSDC Picnic & DC Environmental Film Festival's "Mission Impossible"
DESCRIPTION:The weather looks good so let’s gather at 6pm in the Navy Memorial Plaza\, right in front of the Naval Heritage Center at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW\, Washington\, DC 20004\, for a picnic before the 7pm screening of *Wild Hope:* *Mission Impossible* which is being shown as part of the [DC Environmental Film Festival ](https://dceff.org/)(DCEFF). **The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the founder of Impossible Foods\, Pat Brown.** \nYou can bring your own beverages and vegan food or pick up something from nearby HipCityVeg (a six minute walk away)\, Teasim (a one minute walk away)\, SeoulSpice\, (3 minute walk) or another restaurant of your choice. We should be able to find some seating on steps around the plaza. If the weather is bad\, we will scratch the picnic part of this Meetup. There will also be a plant-based reception after the Q & A but it won’t be equal to a meal. \n**The film is free but you must RSVP in advance on the DCEFF website [here](https://dceff2025.eventive.org/films/67b7b3503420a8d581d0ec48) to secure your seat.** Don’t hesitate because tickets can run out. Seating is general admission. You should **also RSVP here on the Meetup page** for communication purposes. \n**Here’s a description of the 40 minute film:**\n*Wild Hope: Mission Impossible* tells the inspiring story of how a late-career epiphany led “wacky genius” Pat Brown to abandon his academic career and commit himself to fighting global warming and biodiversity collapse\, starting with a surprising product – an impossibly delicious plant-based hamburger. \nWILD HOPE is a series that highlights the conservation changemakers who are sparking new hope for the future of our planet. \n**VSDC: More Than A Meetup**\nWe are so glad to have you as part of The Veg Society of DC Vegan Meetup group\, and we enjoy seeing you at our events. Did you know that [VSDC](https://vsdc.org/) is a nonprofit organization with membership benefits? \nWith VSDC membership\, you will save money at area restaurants and businesses\, attend VSDC member-only events\, and\, most importantly\, support us as a clear and consistent voice for improving the lives of all beings through community building and education centered on the benefits of a vegan diet and lifestyle. \nThe membership fee is minimal\, but the impact is significant! \n**VSDC.
