(Karen) Joy Davy, MS, LCPC, NCC,is a licensed clinical professional counselor offering individual therapy to adults for concerns such as pet grief, compassion fatigue, trauma related to animal rights activism, new mother concerns, surviving narcissistic abuse, anxiety and depression. She facilitates a monthly pet grief group and has written a book on the topic of pet grief entitled: Healing Circles. She has also given lectures to veterinary professionals on the topic of self-care and prevention of compassion fatigue. She has been vegan for twelve years. She has personally rescued pets and brings one dog to the office as a support to clients. She uses mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. She uses chair yoga, art expression and hypnosis for clients who are interested.
