She facilitates a monthly pet grief group and has written a book on the topic of pet grief entitled: Healing Circles. She has also given lectures to veterinary professionals on the topic of self-care and prevention of compassion fatigue. She has been vegan for twelve years. She has personally rescued pets and brings one dog to the office as a support to clients. She uses mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. She uses chair yoga, art expression and hypnosis for clients who are interested.
