I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health from the University of Southern California. I am very connected to a mission of overall reducing harm and suffering. Professionally, I seek to help my clients reduce their suffering and process their pain. Personally, I am an advocate for animal rights and am vegan for that reason, am working to reduce my environmental footprint, and dedicated to showing up in the world compassionately. I am always seeking to better understand the world around me, especially in the social justice realm.
Prior to private practice I worked in residential addiction treatment and with both adults and teens on probation. Both of these experience were so meaningful for me and have greatly influenced my work in private practice. I specialize in working with young adults and older teens with substance use concerns, trauma, legal system involvement. With these specialties, many of my clients are also experiencing depression, anxiety, low self esteem, and relational concerns. As a queer therapist myself, I provide LGBTQIA+ affirmative care, along with providing care through a social justice and anti-racist lens. I take from many styles of therapy, but primarily use Compassionate Inquiry, which is a dynamic blend of modern trauma therapy, somatic work, parts work, attachment work, and Eastern Philosophy. I also provide Equine Assisted Life Coaching in Malibu, CA, just up the street from popular Zuma Beach.
